Introducing the newest product line from Saginaw Control and Engineering- NextGen Free-Standing Enclosures. This line was created with our customers, and their wallets, in mind. With the rising costs of freight for enclosures 90″ and above, the NextGen Free-Standing enclosures are 4″ shorter (90″ is now 86″, 84″ is now 80″, and 72″ is now 68″) with the height difference being taken from the body flanges, leaving the subpanel height the same.

Another new feature of the NextGen Free-Standing enclosures is that the subpanel will ship separately for those who wish to have the subpanel early, or no subpanel at all. Before, this was considered custom and had a longer lead time, but not anymore! The NextGen line also comes with 10 subpanel mounting studs on two door enclosures which creates a higher load capacity than the current 8 studs.

Additionally, the NextGen Free-Standing enclosures feature a new cable operated mechanical interlock. It is a quick install and eliminates the mess of having to deal with pesky rods and set screws.

Our customers asked for lower freight charges, quicker subpanels, and higher load capacities, and the NextGen Free-Standing enclosures deliver all of that and more!

SCE Handle

At Saginaw Control & Engineering, we commit ourselves to continued improvement in our services and products.

The latest change to our products is a change to the SCE Handles. Previously, the SCE Handle logo was a polished finish. Moving forward, the logo will be changed to a sleek, all black finish. You may start to see these new handles making their way onto your enclosures after April 10th, 2023.

HMI Enclosure Highlight

SCE makes assembling an HMI set up convenient for you. We have an entire line dedicated to getting our customers the best fit for their project. We realize that there is not a one-size-fits-all for an HMI set up, so we have many different options to fit your project.

The HMI series of enclosures is designed with our customers in mind. These enclosures provide your equipment protection from dust, oil, and water. Each HMI enclosure comes standard with a cutout and reinforcement for suspension or pedestal mounting.

This means what ever you decide to use for your HMI will be safe from the elements and comes standard ready to be installed on any of our suspension systems.

Speaking of suspension systems, the addition of a Suspension System from SCE allows operators to easily customize their HMI enclosure position to an ergonomic and comfortable working height. These can be assembled in a multitude of configurations that allow for machine mount, wall mount, top mount, and floor mount options. Many of the Suspension System options are moveable which will allow multiple users to be comfortable while operating.

There are accessories that can be added to our HMI enclosures to add to the convenience. Adding a Keyboard Shelf or Pull Handle will help you get that perfect set up.

Working with our CSE (Customized Standard Enclosure) Program makes installation of any accessories even easier. Order your enclosure customized with anything from mounting provisions to push buttons in the locations you desire. Custom enclosure services include, precision cutting of holes and cutouts, selection of materials required for environment or specifications, powder coat finish color change, and assistance from our experienced design team.

Top Mounted Fans

Introducing the newest product in Saginaw Control and Engineering’s Thermal Management line, the NEMA 12 top mounted fans. As preluded to in the name these are a group of fans that are mounted to the top of an enclosure. This location, at the top of the enclosure, allows the already rising warm air to continue up and out with the help of these powerful fans. Made of mild steel and powder coated with RAL 7035 this line will be a great addition to many of SCE’s enclosure lines. At 18″x18″ with an air flow of 370/570 cfm these big hats will be a great addition to the Thermal Management family, giving more options with a lot of moving power.

SCE-ETHCK is designed for use with Enviroline NextGen air conditioner units to convert from Modbus ready AC to Ethernet. Provisions and hardware included for either DIN rail mounted or a fixed screw mount.

SCE’s Free-Standing Enclosures come in a variety of options to meet the needs for every project. Options for enclosures include single or two-doors, and single or dual-access.
Designed to house electrical and electronic controls, these enclosures provide protection from dust, dirt, water, and oil. For outdoor application, a drip shield and drain vent is recommended.
